Unearthing the Masters' Stories

Our personal journey invites you to the soul of Tuscany. We immerse ourselves in the Renaissance masterpieces of Florence and the enduring medieval charm of Siena. I will share the personal stories of this land—from its artistic geniuses to its everyday life—connecting you deeply to the history found in Piazza del Campo and the heart of Florence.

Tuscan Terroir: The Sangiovese Kings

The dedicated Wine Tasting pays homage to the world-class red wines of the region. You will explore the intense, complex flavors of the Chianti Classico region and other "Kings" of Italian wine, such as Brunello di Montalcino or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. This tasting unlocks the passion behind Tuscan viticulture.

Rustic Tastes of the Chianti Hills

Our Food Tasting showcases the simple, yet profound, flavors of the Tuscan countryside. You will sample rustic staples like flavorful local cured meats and cheeses, along with traditional hearty dishes like Ribollita or Pappa al Pomodoro. The experience is completed with sweet Vin Santo and cantucci (almond biscuits).

Deep Immersion & Overnight Options

The itinerary is built for deep immersion, featuring an extended Tour in Chianti/Tuscany with the option of an overnight stay in Siena or Monteriggioni. This flexibility guarantees a full exploration of the medieval villages. Your adventure includes seamless service with all private transport and personal pick-up and drop-off handled by me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Day Exploring Lake Garda and Valpolicella

Today’s tour with Alessandro was exceptional from beginning to end. His deep knowledge of the region, its history, culture, and traditions brought every stop to life.

We enjoyed breathtaking views of Lake Garda, with visits to charming towns/regions such as Torri del Benaco and Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella. Alessandro carefully selected locations that showcased both the beauty of the lake and the authentic character of the surrounding countryside.

The food throughout the day was wonderful, featuring local specialties that added to the overall experience. Alessandro’s recommendations were excellent, and he clearly takes pride in sharing the best of his region.

What made the tour especially memorable was Alessandro himself. He was personable, professional, and attentive, answering questions with insight and enthusiasm. His passion for the area was evident and made the day both enjoyable and educational.

If you are looking for a guide who combines local expertise, stunning scenery, great food, and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend Alessandro. This was truly a five-star experience and one of the highlights of my time in Italy.

What a wonderfully enjoyable and informative couple of hours spent with Alessandro in Verona. He was the perfect guide, sharing his passion, demonstrating his knowledge of the local history and giving fantastic recommendations for food and wine. We were able to enjoy some wine and gelato on the route too. Verona is a truly beautiful and unique place and we are so pleased we booked a tour as we would have missed so many details without his unique insight. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Alessandro was a fantastic tour guide, we loved our first 2hr walking tour of Verona so much that we did another 5th tour of Lake Garda and surrounding villages a few days later and it was fantastic. Alessandro was amazing for my day tour of Lake Garda from Verona. He was very accommodating with my pickup/drop off and we started the day with a gorgeous view of Verona from above. It’s off season in Lake Garda so I was able to see some of the more popular spots with no crowds which was amazing. I had no real plans and let him take the reigns on everything to see and couldn’t be happier ☺️ grazie mille

My wife and I spent the day with Alessandro Bassi today and the whole experience was incredible. He contacted us the day before through WhatsApp to learn what we were interested in and review details.

He showed up exactly on time at our hotel and off we went. He was a skilled driver, story teller and historian. We learned so much about the history and culture of Verona. Alessandro himself is an experienced world traveler and his English is perfect.

Some highlights of our day were a visit to a remote hilltop village with a church positioned over a Roman cistern, and a gourmet sandwich lunch on the banks of Lake Garda. He was an excellent host and ambassador of all things Veronese. Make a day with Alessandro the first thing you do when you get to Verona.

If you want to experience a truly wonderful day with an extraordinary guide, book a day with Alessandro. It is money well spent. He customized a day for us to see his favorite spots on and around Verona and Lake Garda. We requested Off-the-beaten track areas near Lake Garda to avoid the crush of tourists and we were thrilled with the spots he took us to. Alessandro is an immediately likable guy who knows and loves his native land. The day spent with him was a highlight of our month in Italy.

We had an absolutely amazing time in Verona! Alessandro is an incredible guide with a true passion for the city and an impressive depth of knowledge. He shared fascinating historical details that most other guides wouldn’t even mention. Many people think Verona is just about Romeo and Juliet or the Arena, but Alessandro showed us there’s so much more to discover in this beautiful city. And the delicious meal we had at one of his recommended Osteria’s was the perfect finishing touch. Absolutely delightful! Highly recommended!

Our first time in verona. My wife booked alessandro and the tour garda / verona. . We were both very glad that she did. . We began with a little drive around verona on a sunday morning and alessandro pointed out great places to eat , historic sites. We then headed over to lake garda through the wine region and visited two or three local villages on the shores of garda. Treated to some fine wine and local produce. Aleesandro s local knowledge was invaluable and amazing. Got back about 6pm. Tired but happy. We cannot recommend alessando enough , kind courteous and the experince eas so much better than us just woandering aimlessley around. Five stars well deserved

Prior to our first visit to Verona, I connected with Alessandro about booking a day for us including Lago di Garda and wine in Valpolicella. He was terrific in communicating prior to our scheduled day with suggestions for our itinerary as well as general suggestions for our stay in Verona. The day was flawless and included some unexpected stops and pivots along the way that were lovely and appreciated. Do yourself a favor and book an experience with Alessandro, he will curate the experience around your interests.

We booked a tour with Alessandro to tour Lake Garda. We could not recommend it enough. From start to finish, we were amazed at the scenery, Alessandro's knowledge, and, of course, the wine! Alessandro does a good job of personalizing the tour and we were able to connect with him, which you do not get in every tour. It was a terrific experience and must do in Verona!

Alessandro is an excellent guide! He introduced us to Verona in a food walking tour - it was fantastic. His knowledge of this beautiful city, tips for places to eat and visit is 2nd to none. We enjoyed our time so much we arranged for Alessandro to take us on a day trip to Lake Gardia - just superb! He took us to places we would never have seen. Alessandro is very accommodating, punctual with a great sense of humour and is highly recommended.

We had the pleasure of joining a guided tour of Verona. Alessandro, our guide was an absolute gem – incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly.
